Doctor Who: The Eight Doctors Audiobook (Unabridged, Complete)

The recently regenerated Eighth Doctor is struck with amnesia after falling prey to the Master's latest boobytrap, and must seek out each of his former incarnations in an attempt to regain his lost memories. But sinister forces are conspiring to thwart his quest...

This was my first attempt at creating an audiobook, it's not quite up to the standards of my later work (but not that bad!)

Running Time: Approx 6 hrs 45 min

  2. Absolutely brilliant effort (although the strong US accent takes a bit of getting used to reading such 'british' material!)

As the 9th Dr. would say, 'Fantastic...'

  3. Thank you! Glad to know someone's listening! Sorry about the strong American accent (even though I am Canadian!)I've been trying to soften it somewhat. I hope it's not too off-putting!

  6. Thanks. All of them? Well, let's see. There are 73 books in this series, each one takes me about 4 to 6 weeks to do (average 5 weeks), that's 365 weeks, or just over 7 years. No problem!

  7. This just great, thanks *thumbs up* I seriously have to NOT forget about this until I watch whole classic series and the movie which with any luck will happen in five years (and now I am shouting into sky "Why? Why didn't he chose Third Doctor?! =)). On the other hand you'll probably do a few more of these by that time if BBC won't hunt you down and kill.

  10. I thought this was an excellent effort and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the reading of the 8th Doctor was excellent. To my British ear there were a few moments that slightly jarred, the pronunciation of "Inquiry" and "Argy Bargy" come to mind. But this was minor and never took me out of the story, overall a fantastic effort

  11. So whats going on? Have you put the EDAs on permanent hiatus or are you still recording them? I've already finished all the EDAs you've done and loved every single one of them.

  13. Your rendition was amazing. Your voice was a bit distracitng for the first few chapters, but only because I was used how the all the Doctors and characters sounded in the the tv episodes, but i soon got used to it, so I wouldn't try to change it if i were you, granted I am an american. I found your sound effects very profesional, and quite Amazing. The music you play in the backgorund always seems to perfectly match the situation and really brings one into the story. I have already listended to this book and the subsquent two, Vampire Science, and The Bodysnachers, and found that your performance both lived up to,and exceeded, the expectations I gained from this first book. I would find it hard to tell the difference between the quality of your performance and those i could find in a libuary (based on how professional they seened), although i would still judge yours to be of a higher calaber than theirs. THANK YOU SO MUCH for producing these and releasing them here, please continue doing what you are doing, and when do you think your doctor who rendition will be ready. THANK YOU AGAIN, YOU ARE AMAZING!

However, if I may, it appears to abruptly cut out right at the end, are you aware of this?
